Peas in a box. I have also recently put seeded some collard greens, beets and carrots in the box to take over when thee peas finish up.
No blooms yet. Everything is slow this year. We have had a very cool, miserable spring.

I have an incredible hodge podge of gardening areas. I have numerous containers of all sorts around my townhouse and on the deck - mostly vegetables and eatable flowers. I also have a small plot in the local community gardens. This is the inaugural season for the community gardens and so far, it has been working well.

Last Sunday, I indulged in one of my guilty pleasures - the big box book store, Chapters. Love to gaze at a gluttony of books and to ogle my purchases while sucking back a green tea lemonade at the connected uber coffee shop. Over priced and over trendy..anyway..last week's treasure was a gardening book - "The New Urban Farmer" by Celia B. Brown. It is truly a delightful book chock full of gorgeous pictures, recipes and information about all sorts of plants, seeding hints, etc, etc It is now sitting by the bathtub - where I thumb through  it during my nightly soaky bath ritual. The pictures are definite eye candy !
